GAMEDAY THREADZ

I have to first start out by saying GO NOLES!!! Ok! Now thats off my chest I can get to the blog post!! As a FSU alumna, I am ALWAS looking for cute, fun and different ideas on how to dress up on game day! When I was in college we used to scour GoodWill and buy T-shirts in the kids department at Target… Just to have on something different than what they sold at the book store on campus. I am beyond excited that some of my fellow alumni fashionistas have taken this struggle and made it into a business! Gameday Threadz carry a Garnet & Gold (FSU)inspired line, Orange and Green (UM) inspired line, Orange and Blue (UF) inspired line and just added a Black and Gold (UCF) inspired line. Check out all of their styles here!!

It is also SUPER exciting to announce they are giving you free shipping if you enter in the code Stay Stylish when you are checking out!

DON’T LEAVE HOME WITHOUT CHA!!

As Im unpacking my suitcase from Sunday.. Im repacking again here on a Wednesday! This time for New York Fashion Week!!! I wanted to share with you a few items I find myself panicking to make sure are always in my bag!!

1. Biosilk Hydrating Therapy Maracuja Oil– This stuff is the bomb!! I put it on curls after I wand away and it just makes them separate perfectly!

2. MAC Skinsheen Leg Spray– Obsessed with this stuff! Its my go to instant tan that lasts all day!! Put a little bit of lotion in with the foam and rub rub rub!! Even if you sweat (I sweat like crazy) it wont come off! I even use it on my arms and chest. Gives your skin this amazing glow!

3. Clarisonic– I received this as a gift from one of my clients and let me tell you… If this thing isn’t charged I AM FREAKING OUT!! It clears your pours and takes away all that left over makeup that your face wash just cant get off! You can even use it on your arms, back and legs! Its a great way to exfoliate.

4. Lancome BiFacil Eye Makeup Remover– Nothing works better! Iv tried it all!

5. Chloe Eau de Parfum Spray – Try it! I promise you wont wear anything else!

6. Lamer– My go to eye creme day and night. I also use this on my skin cancer scars and biopsies! This product is a bit more expensive, but it lasts forever! I have had mine over a year.

7.rms beauty– Lip to Cheek in beloved color! Certified organic cosmetics that goes on perfectly for everyday wear! Pop it on your cheeks and you have a wam bam 2for1!!

8. Lucas Papaw Ointment– So I met this guy from Australia on an airplane.. and he had an extra tube of this. He told me at the time that it was only sold in Australia! However.. I have now seen it here in the states! Its kinda like on My Fat Greek Wedding.. where they use Windex for everything?? Thats how this product is. Dry skin, elbows, chapped lips! You name it!!

9. Bumble and Bumble Surf Styling Spray– I spray this when I want a beachy no fuss look! I have a mix of straight and curly hair, so when styling I need an easy go to product! I spray it in wet and dry! Either way it gives great results!

THE EVERYGIRL.COM AND OLD NAVY

How to Elevate Your Weekend Fashion Basics!

Styling two of your wardrobe staples- The Classic T-shirt and the easy denim shorts!

One of my most favorite websites TheEverygirl.com asked me to partner up with them again!!  This time I was asked to pick a T-shirt and a pair of denim for a fun little feature on Weekend Basics! If you know me and my style I could wear jean shorts everyday! Especially living in FL they become a wardrobe MUST have and a staple in the wardrobe!

See the full article here to check out what The Every Girl and writer Valerie Chen have to say about these 2 looks!!

Being 5 foot tall, I have to be selective on what trends I can wear and what I need to stay away from! When I saw the midi skirt start hitting the racks I thought to myself OMG that would be a maxi on me! Never ever will I be able to sport that feminine, ultra grily trend with these short little legs sticking out the bottom! But I was wrong! I normally would always wear these skirts with a pump to elongate my legs! However I couldn’t pass up these $59 sale shoes at Zara! And they actually worked! Making fashion more exciting and interesting is about doing things a little out of the box. Mixing a T-shirt with something a little more dressy and feminine like a midi skirt is what I call mixing your 2 elements. I love this white skirt because its leather and can easily transition into your Fall wardrobe! Oversized dramatic sunnies are everywhere this season and its just a fun way to pull an outfit together without spending a ton of $$!! The necklaces came in a pack of 2! Which I am seeing a lot of lately. I am NOT complaining! One in silver and the other in gold. I didn’t need to look any further to style my 2 looks because they were both right there together!

Jean shorts are a staple these days in everyone’s wardrobe! I like to dress mine up a little just so I don’t feel so sloppy! Again Im 5 foot tall with college softball legs! I always like to give myself a little height if Im heading off to a party where that would be appropriate. A simple white button down is also a MAJOR staple in the wardrobe and can literally be worn with anything and everything! I always do a little front tuck to show off my waist line, so Im wearing the shirt and it doesn’t look like its wearing me! Stacking jewelry is a must!! Going bold is always way more fun then playing it safe! After all it is Fashion!

EMMYS 2014 BEST DRESSED

A fashion stylist's most favorite time of year is HERE!! Award season is a time to see the best of the best gowns designers have to offer!! I love seeing these stars take risks and do something a little out of the norm! Here are a few of my favorites!!

KEN’S BACK IN TOWN!

Ok!! I have had the pleasure of seeing Ken Downing twice now… and I must say he is one of my most favorite fashion celebrity crushes! He always has the best attitude, cutest sense of humor and his Kenisms are ones you never forget! Neiman Marcus Orlando hosted a gorgeous brunch benefitting Dr. Phillips Center for Performing Arts!  Ken showed us that when it comes to jewelry, too much is never enough! Turquoise jewelry is one of his favorites and layering, stacking and adding is going to be the key to stylish this season! Ken takes “flare” to a whole other level!!! We saw 50 shades of grey, black and white classic looks, oversized sweatshirts and sweaters over fancy gowns, and pants under dresses! Ken also explained to the guests that “Fashion is a dream” and “Wearing one designer from head to toe is not current!” Lets just say.. If you get an invite to see this incredible human.. DONT miss it!! He is engaging, dynamic, and knows his stuff!! Thank you Neiman Marcus Orlando and Ken Downing for the special treat! Now for the gorgeous looks he styled himself!
