GIFTS FOR MEN – FOX35 GOOD DAY LIVE

Gifts for men are always a challenge for me! Maybe because I want to be more creative then what is really needed? Who knows! When Fox35 asked me to do a gifts for men segment I broke it down into 5 categories of men. First is the Manista, or some would call them, the guy that has everything.. I chose 3 things that any guy who loves style will love all year round. The next kind of guy is the World Traveler! This guy needs things for on the go that will make their lives a little easier while traveling from day to day. My next guy is the Guy Who Needs Everything, or the “Simple” guy! This is where you can get back to basics and get him all the essentials. My next category is the Man Into Fitness and keeping in shape! Last but not least, is the Sentimental Guy. Get him something personalized like a money clip with engraving, or something with both of your initials on it like these mugs from Target! Needless to say, the Holidays are HERE!! So hurry and get your last minute items NOW!

6 WAYS TO MAKE A T-SHIRT LOOK SEXY ENOUGH FOR DATE NIGHT

Ladies, simple is sexy!

Trying to find the perfect date night outfit is always a challenge. You don’t want to look like you’re trying too hard but not trying at all isn’t acceptable either. So I asked my boyfriend the last time we went out to dinner what I should wear. His response? “I like it simple. A white t-shirt and jeans.”

If you are anything like me, keeping it simple is usually pretty hard. I love loud colors, too many bracelets and uncomfortable shoes! However, sometimes for a date—especially first dates!—you have to play it down a bit and give ’em what they want.

So I put together 6 outfits I think are fun, comfortable, and a little sexy (with an edge). Keeping it simple was easier than I thought.

 1. The Pretty In Pink

Like I mentioned before, the fit and flare skirt is something that is flattering on most body types and it’s a staple in every woman’s wardrobe (along with the white T-shirt)! I added a pair of caged heels, my athletic jacket from spring season (for a bit of color and comfort) and a versatile bag. It’s always important to me to reuse things in my closet from the season before so I feel like I’m getting the most bang for my buck!

2. The Rocknroll

This is my favorite look! The ripped up, paint splattered, faded grey jean is my go-to this fall season. It’s the statement piece without having to make a statement. Add the white T-shirt,over-the-knee boot and moto leather jacket for an edgy pop, top it off with a shoulder bag, and you’re good to go!

3. The Basic Blazer

A white T-shirtblack blazer and a pair of boyfriend jeans are a must-have in all of my client’s wardrobes. Why not pair all three pieces together and add a fun pointed-toe pair of shoes and a handbag? Sometimes going back to the basics is all an outfit really needs anyway.

4. The Print

A fit and flare skirt is a piece that is flattering on most body types. This one is from H&M and is not only super- affordable, but it also has subtle colors that aren’t over the top. I added the T-shirt, the clutch, the shoes (snag a similar pair here!) and the moto leather jacket to balance out the edgy and feminine elements; sometimes that makes an outfit that much more put together.

6. The Comfy Chic

As the weather cools down, the black leather moto jacket might not be warm enough. I found this adorable coat from Forever21 for $40! It had everything I was looking for: affordability, bright colors and interesting details. I took one of the coat colors and paired it with a shoe that matched perfectly, jeans, a white T-shirt and a cute bag to pull the look all-together.

3. The Practical & Tactical

Utility pants have been a trend we’ve seen over and over, season after season. And military-inspired is back on top this Fall! So why not wear it out for date night? Get the look by pairing army-colored utility pants with a white T-shirt, a casual bag and cute, comfy shoes (snag a similar pair here!). Not only does it look effortless, it’s very on trend. And did I mention comfortable?

BROOKLYN BABY!!

When the designer from Central Park West sent me an email asking me to check out her stuff, I was so excited to be introduced to such a cute line! I have worn this sweater now 4 times in a few different ways and has officially become my go to! I can’t wait to share the other one she sent me too.

Now lets talk about these “Girlfriend” jeans I bought at Neiman Marcus last week. They are by7forAllMankind and probably the most comfortable pairs of jeans I own. They are a little high waisted, not too baggy and have a ton of stretch in them. I am 5 feet tall so these fit length wise perfectly on me. I would say they are meant to be more of a cropped jean for anyone else.

Last but not least, we must talk about this bag! Another piece I am so excited about having in my closet! Zac Posen has a line called Zac by Zac Posen and you won’t believe the price points! Fringe is one of my favorite trends at the moment and this bag can be used for day and night. I absolutely love that!
